Le VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) a de nouveau été updaté pour DoD et Counter Strike. Concernant la fameuse ban list, le charabia de Valve peut-être compris un peu comme on l’entend :
These security modules should detect most versions of OGC and report detected cheaters to our ban list server.
If you’ve been testing cheats on your server in the past you should stop. All information regarding detected cheaters will be going into the ban list database. If you suspect that a cheat still works, send the information to us and we’ll look into it.
Also, CD key changers are considered cheats and will be reported to the ban list.
Toutes les informations concernant les tricheurs détectés vont dans une base de données. Certes… Mais ils en font quoi ensuite de cette base ? La fameuse ban-list est-elle utilisée pour bannir les gens ou est-ce une épée de Damoclès en plastique ? La réponse a été postée dans les commentaires de la news sur CSNation :

VAC was updated today, so the old beta versions of OGC hook will not work any more. But you can download a new version in our CS section now. There’s also a few new features, like Winamp3 support and a anti-screenshot feature. Ogc Hook light was also updated.
