000fa6 previewJeff Morris, le producteur d’UT2007, se soumet aux questions de CVG où il avoue qu’Epic va faire en sorte de rendre UT2007 plus accessible que ne l’est Battlefield 2 :

[…] we love Battlefield, for that huge epic war feel, but that game is very rough on new players – it’s easy to choose the wrong spawn point, for example. So what we’re trying to do is balance something in the Unreal Warfare mode that appeals to everyone.

Il tente aussi d’expliquer comment se déroulera le système de commandement dans le mode Warfare, mais j’ai l’impression que c’est encore loin d’être clair dans la tête des développeurs :

We’re working on the idea that maybe there isn’t an overall commander, but each bunker has its own. If there’s no commander, then everything’s fine – we have AI commanders up and running – but if somebody wants to go in there and put up a shield because they know an attack’s coming, then that’s something they could do. Also, we’ve discovered that running around the bunkers is great fun for deathmatches, so we’re thinking of having all of these different Assault-style nodes that work like switches for various defences, such as gun turrets or mines. You’ll be able to configure how the base defends itself.
