Like EverQuest, gaining in rank will get you ability points that can be used to buy abilities. Verant currently has seventy base abilities planned. The abilities will be organized in a tree, so there will be different levels of proficiency. A player who learns Healing I will then be able to learn Healing II, but may also be precluded from learning other abilities in the tree. There will also be a limit to the number of abilities that a player can learn.
