Ne l’appelez pas Dead Island 2 : certes, c’est un jeu de zombies en vue subjective par Techland avec du coop à 4 et une priorité aux armes de corps à corps sur les flingues… mais dans Dying Light, les zombies sont en fait des infectés, ce qui apparemment change tout (?). Techland ne montre pas encore publiquement de gameplay, mais Polygon raconte la présentation du jeu l’E3, et notamment les combats :
Hitting a zombie will cause them to briefly flash for a moment, offering a glimpse of their skeleton. The game will show players what part of the zombie’s body broke as a result of your attack and what it can no longer hit or kick with. Once they’re down, players can loot them for cash and crafting parts for building better weapons.
