VUG confirme la sortie de la Director’s Edition de FEAR qui proposera le jeu sur DVD, son making of, des interviews exclusives d’Alma (le méchant de FEAR ?) et un petit film réalisé avec le moteur du jeu par les créateurs de Red vs Blue (un machinima sur Halo).

Tout ça sortira aux USA en octobre au prix de 55$ (5$ plus cher que l’édition standard) et ceux qui auront précommandé le jeu recevront l’édition collector au même prix que celle normale. Vous noterez qu’étant donné que le making of et les interviews seront réalisées en anglais, il y a peu de chance pour que cette édition spéciale soit disponible en France.[–SUITE–]

VUG Introduces a Very Special Kind of F.E.A.R.

LOS ANGELES, CA – (September 02, 2005) – Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) today announced that Sierra Entertainment’s highly anticipated and award-winning PC game F.E.A.R. ™ (First Encounter Assault Recon) will be released in a ‘Director’s Edition’ DVD format. The Director’s Edition DVD will include exclusive content, including a “Making of F.E.A.R.” documentary, a developer’s roundtable commentary video, live action “declassified” interviews with Alma, and an exclusive F.E.A.R. machinima episode from Rooster Teeth Productions of Red vs. Blue fame.

Available in North America only, the Director’s Edition DVD will hit retail stores in October 2005. Gamers who preorder the DVD Edition at select retailers will also receive $5 off the final SRP when the game hits the streets.

The countdown to one of the most anticipated PC games of 2005 has begun! Widespread consumer anticipation for F.E.A.R. has been soaring since the single player demo was released on August 5, 2005.
