PCIgn vient d’écrire une preview de PlanetSide qui regroupe de nombreuses informations. Ils y expliquent clairement le principe du monde persistant dans lequel il y aura des structures à capturer. On notera aussi que Verant a trouvé un moyen intelligent de luter contre le teamkilling:

They couldn’t very well do away with friendly fire altogether so they’ve instituted a warning system, so whenever a player is hurt by one of his/her own teammates, you’ll get the opportunity to give them a warning. Once players have been warned enough, they’ll actually lose the ability to carry firearms for a while. They will still be able to participate by manning unarmed vehicles like transports, but all fighting privileges will be revoked. If they receive too many of these warnings over time, they will eventually be banned from the game. Even though it looks that Verant is counting on people being fair about realizing that friendly fire happens (which is hard to do), this seems like one of the best options available for giving players the opportunity to fight back against others that are trying to ruin the experience.

Les spécifications annoncés sont 1Ghz plus une GeForce 2 mais à mon avis un 2Ghz ne sera pas du luxe pour animer des batailles pouvant impliquer jusqu’à 500 joueurs.
