4unrealers a interviewé Tim Sweeney. Les deux informations les plus importantes concernent la date de sortie de la démo et les spécifications pour faire tourner le bébé :
« The demo is close, but we don´t have a date in mind yet. Anybody who announced a specific date for the beta is making it up. 🙂
You´ll get good performance on any 1 + GHz PC with a GeForce2, Radeon 7500, or later video card. The game will be playable on even earlier PC´s, but not at performance levels that competitive gamers will expect.
Hardware that runs UT2003 at a steady 60 fps hasn´t shipped yet. Unreal Tournament 2003´s polygon counts are around 100X higher than Unreal Tournament´s polygon counts. Remember, when Unreal Tournament shipped, it ran at 30 fps on the average PC, and around 45 fps on the then top-of-the-line PC´s available. This trend will continue with UT2003, shipping a game that´s quite leading-edge at the time of its release, realizing that in a year most new PC´s will run it at 60 fps. »
Pas très rassurant tout ca.
