NovaLogic to release ‘Squad Maps’ for Number 1 selling PC title.

LONDON, UK (October 21st, 2004) – Not content with providing gamers with the most intense large and mid-scale modern combat experiences available anywhere, NovaLogic today announced that they are thinking small with the next phase of content releases for the hit PC title Joint Operations®: Typhoon Rising®

Commencing October 21st, owners of Joint Operations will be able to download versions of classic Joint Ops maps that are optimized for 5 v 5 player squad engagements. The first map to be released is ‘Kutu Arms Market’ and will be available via NovaLogic’s own NovaXchange Map exchange system. Players can log into NovaWorld.com and click on the ‘Xchange » tab at the top of the screen to download this new map, as well as access over 200 user created Joint Ops maps. NovaLogic will be adding more Squad optimized content for download over the coming weeks.

Joint Operations is the only FPS to allow players to participate in mammoth 150 player battles with no subscription fee, more than double the player hosting capability of any other FPS. Incorporating vast maps of up to 50 km sq, a full 24 hour day/night cycle and 29 different land, sea and air vehicles to control, Joint Operations represents a huge leap forward for multiplayer FPS games.
