The game rarely gets frantic, but there are moments where you’re under heavy attack and you just have to shoot, while there are also moments where you have to carefully consider your course of action. Controlling the tanks is a great boost to your confidence, in that you feel indestructible, while you are pretty destructive yourself. Like the RTS game you can run over enemy foot soldiers in vehicles and this is often a good way of dispatching lots of them. Tank invulnerability takes a reality check when you encounter another tank though – or the highly accurate NOD rocket troops.

The gmax software is a mod package based on Discreet’s award-winning, professional 3D modeling and animation software-3ds max, and allows users to create new 3D levels, objects, player models, skins, vehicles and weapons for Renegade. User creations will be playable in both single and multiplayer modes.
Le jeu est actuellement en pleine phase de beta testing et sortira le 26 février.
