Voilà quelques jours qu’avec nos colocs Factornews, nous aurions dû vous proposer un test de Söldner: Secret Wars. L’inquiétude était néanmoins de mise après des demos beta plus ou moins catastrophiques, et les quelques tests publiés jusqu’ici, plutôt « réservés », même si, comme régulièrement chez les testeurs professionnels, un jeu critiqué négativement et blindé de bugs arrive quand même à obtenir la moyenne ou presque (Joystick : 5/10, JeuxVideo.com : 11/20, Gamekult : 4/10).
Alors soyons clairs : tel qu’il est actuellement vendu, Söldner est une escroquerie. Le jeu a beaucoup d’ambitions, a sans doute du potentiel, mais pour 50€ vous aurez une version à peine au niveau beta, posant de gros problèmes de performance et d’instabilité selon les configurations, truffée d’un trop grand nombre de bugs, et globalement pas finie : finition minimaliste, campagne solo vide et accessoire, pourvue d’une I.A. d’huitre, etc. N’achetez pas (encore) ce jeu !
Dans ces conditions, nous avons préféré ne pas tester Söldner, en tous cas pas avant la sortie du premier patch. Pourquoi ? Parce que nous avons envie de croire encore un peu en Söldner, et voir ce dont sont encore capables les développeurs, malgré le fait que leur jeu soit sorti 6 mois trop tôt. On verra après ce premier patch s’il faut envoyer Söldner chez M. Banane, ou bien si le jeu mérite un vrai test.
Nous avons contacté assez rapidement Marc ‘Plex’ Olbertz, community manager sur Söldner, qui nous a confirmé que le patch, développé avant même la sortie du jeu, était actuellement en cours de validation. Nous n’avons pas reussi à obtenir de date de sortie pour ce patch, pas plus qu’un guide d’optisation qui aiderait bien du monde, mais tout espoir n’est pas encore perdu. En attendant, la liste des modifications prévues est enfin publiée.
