HomeLAN – Why did you decide to pick the LithTech engine for your game and what have you done to alter the engine to suit your needs?

Chris Mair – We chose Lithtech for a few reasons: we wanted to incorporate terrain into our game, we liked the clean architecture of Lith that allowed us to build our content without stripping away a pre-exisiting game and we liked the level of support they were offering. We have had to touch many of the systems in Lith including Netcode, Rendering, Sound, Lighting and Tools. We had very specific needs for our game so we knew going in that we would have to modify any licensed engine we chose to suit our game.
