The first Upgrade Pack is due to hit the site in July. It will enable players to add two new vehicles, one new weapon, two new official single missions and another five official multiplayer missions to the acclaimed game. In the first pack, gamers can look forward to adding a Kozlice, a civilian hunting gun with two muzzles one being a shot gun and the second a rifle, to their armoury, flying another type of US Transport helicopter and a SU25 Soviet Strike Aircraft.
The following month’s Upgrade Pack, due in August, will launch the remote/dedicated servers for online multiplay and introduce two new vehicles, two new official single missions, and another five new official multiplayer missions. The August Upgrade Pack will also enhance online security, peripheral support, multiplayer features, including a multiplayer level auto-generator for the mission editor. Specific treats in August’s Upgrade Pack include US and Russian Rotational Grenade Launchers, a Vulcan US Anti-Aircraft and an another attack helicopter. The five multiplayer missions will be co-operative campaigns. August will also see the launch of a second playable demo; a single-level multiplayer demo that concludes the plot of the first demo, released in April.
To take players into the autumn the third Operation Flashpoint Upgrade Pack is due in September to coincide with the launch of the US edition of the game. This pack will deliver another two new vehicles, two new official single missions, and a further five official multiplayer missions.
