Comme si les deux previews inintéressantes du jeu chez IGN et Gamespot, CVG publie une interview de Robb Alvey, producteur d’United Offensive, premier add-on de Call of Duty, actuellement en développement chez Gray Matter.
On y apprendra notamment que Gray Matter a rajouté de nombreux effets à ce bon vieux moteur de Quake 3 pour l’occasion, et qu’il a incorporé son arme fétiche, le lance-flammes (Return to Castle Wolfenstein, c’était eux). De nouveaux modes multijoueurs feront également leur apparition :
Domination is a territory-based mode where each team must gain control of certain areas of a map in order to win. We’ve also added vehicles to the multiplayer game, allowing players to engage in tank vs. tank combat, or tank and foot soldier combined arms action, where infantry can grab a bazooka or satchel charge, or hop on a flak cannon to destroy enemy tanks. We’re creating an enhanced multiplayer experience with Call of Duty: United Offensive.
