mini 2002 03 09 screen00Le premier épisode du Developer Diary de SWAT4 vient de sortir. Pour l’instant, il s’agit juste d’une introduction qui rappelle les concepts du jeu :

SWAT: Urban Justice departs somewhat from our previous game SWAT 3: Close-Quarters Battle in that this game is more user-friendly, faster paced, with a more accessible architecture that is open to both novice and advanced modders. Many of the elements in our previous game that made it a huge success are back in SWAT: Urban Justice such as the artificial intelligence, co-op multiplayer, and the realistic tactics. Some of the new features include support for 24 players in multiplayer, 160 realistic looking high-poly characters, a very large list of new configurable weapons customization of uniforms, the ability to play as a SWAT officer or a gang member in multiplayer mode, and a new proprietary engine that we call the « takedown engine ». This new graphics engine supports incredibly complex and realistic environments, per pixel lighting and shaders, cell and portal technology and full graphic support for the latest 3D hardware.
