Shayde est un FPS développé uniquement sur XBox par une toute petite devteam : Metro3d. Jetez un oeil au screenshot ci-contre et dites-moi sur quel moteur 3D ce jeu tourne. Allez-y, cliquez dessus. En attendant, je vous colle un extrait de l’interview réalisé par HomeLANFed :
HomeLAN – There are going to be six playable characters in Shayde. What are the characters like?
Mark Jordan – The monsters have three classes and the humans have three classes. Players will pick their class before each respawn, as long as the base that supports that class is still intact. The human Hunter serves the role of a sniper who can set traps and help the team relocate and gain surprise. The Soldier serves as a shield for the group, as well as a heavy weapon specialist with limited demo charges. The Scientist serves the medic role and can set up strong fixed positions on the map. The Vampire can immobilize and confuse targets and detach from its body to scout without risk (unless its body is found). The Zombie generates minions and can die a few times. The Fiend has great stealth, movement, and swimming. Each class has an advantage when facing a particular class, and some weakness against another.
Alors, à quel moteur 3D ca vous fait penser? Raté! ce n’est pas Lithtech mais un développement réalisé en interne. Shayde sera l’un des premiers jeu multijoueur jouable online sur la XBox. Comme vous avez pu le lire ci-dessus, le gameplay sera assez innovant mais je doute que ce soit suffisant pour rattraper des graphismes aussi médiocres.
Shayde est actuellement en phase de test et sortira en octobre.
