Gamegroove vient d’annoncer l’existence de Combat Task Force 121, un nouveau FPS vous proposant d’incarner un membre des sections d’élite de l’armée améciraine qui part botter le cul des terroristes. Le jeu est développé par Direct Action Game (gné ?), coûtera 19,99$ (ho ?) et sortira le 25 mars 2005 (wtf ?!) sur PC et Xbox.

Le site officiel contient quelques screenshots au format timbre poste et une vidéo (12 Mo) montrant le multiplayer. Techniquement c’est laid avec mention horrible pour les animations. Le gameplay sera peut-être rigolo, mais le jeu ne sortira sans doute pas en France et de toute façon il y a peu de chance pour que des gens prennent la peine d’y jouer sur internet. In Combat: Task Force 121, gamers become part of the covert unit comprised of Navy Seals, Green Berets, Army Rangers and USMC Recon personnel tasked with thwarting a deadly group of rebels by putting a halt to their terrorist acts before U.S. interests are compromised. By working though 10 exciting single player assignments, gamers must battle their way, day and night, through a variety of environments including dense jungle, a shanty town, an oil rig, a refinery plant and an exotic island. Players can access authentic military weapons throughout the game including the M4 Assault Rifle, M203 Grenade Launcher, MK43 7.62 Machinegun and a .50 Cal Tactical Sniper Rifle.

Gamers can also confront the enemy with up to 16 other players in the exciting Multiplayer mode on Xbox Live. The Multiplayer mode includes 8 game types, 13 maps, 2 and 4 player split screens and Al bots for offline practice.
