Under Ash est un FPS qui vous place dans la peau de Ahmad, un jeune palestinien de 19 ans habitant Jerusalem. Un jour, des bulldozers israeliens détruisent sa maison et des soldats tabassent son père. Le jeune pacifiste récupére alors dans les gravas sa première arme : bind 2 « weaptoggle stone ».
Les auteurs d’Under Ash expliquent que leur jeu est destiné à un public de jeunes de plus de 13 ans. Ils veulent dénoncer les événements qui ont lieu chez eux et ont choisi de créer un FPS, un peu comme l’armée américaine avec America’s Army :
The game has the type of adventure games and the games of fighting with individual arms, and in a three dimensional form.
